We would like to wish you all a

Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays.

We will leave you this year with a snippet from The Gilmorehill Globe (now known as the Glasgow University Guardian) of Monday 5 December 1932, which provides an insight into how some of our International Students and Staff  celebrated the festive period in the 1930s. The International Club Concert took place annually in December and showcased the variety of talents on offer at the University.

The Student International Club began in 1922. It was a non-political and pacifistic student society, open to students of all nationalities and religious beliefs who were studying in Glasgow. The aim of the club was to promote international understanding and to encourage and stimulate interest in international affairs.

You can find out more about the University Student International Club at Archive Services where the records of the Club are held.
