About the project

The University of Glasgow’s International Story is the latest development of the University of Glasgow Story website. This new portal was launched in 2013, highlighting just some of the stories of our pioneering international students and staff since 1451.

The project is led by Moira Rankin, managed by Kerry McDonald, and supported by a fantastic team of International Story Student Editors. These student volunteers, recruited through the University’s Club 21 Business Partnership Programme , are researching the University’s historic connections with particular countries. Many volunteers are using their language skills and country-specific knowledge to dig out previously hidden facts. The International Story project is possible thanks to the support of the Chancellor’s Fund and the IT expertise of our Systems Developer, Brian Aitken, and Patrick McCann of HATII.

Follow us for regular project updates and fascinating insights into the lives of our University of Glasgow predecessors.
